Businesses can now determine the order to list earning and redeeming rules in their reward program. This gives you more control over the look of your rewards program.
This addresses two main cases for our customers:
Businesses may want to draw attention to certain earning rules, rewards or VIP privileges by putting them at the top of the list.
Businesses may want to group certain types of related rules together such as:
Perk ordering is accessible from the rewards program settings page in Perkville. Click on an earning or redeeming rule to edit it, and scroll down to the 'Display Order' field to enter a number.
For accounts that offer 'privilege perks' due to levels or a VIP program:
Please contact support@perkville.com for help. It's not yet possible to order privilege perks on the front-end but our support team will do it for you.
Ordered perks display on reward accounts and point emails for end-users.
Any perks with an assigned order will come before ones without, which fallback to the default. As a reminder, the default order is the highest to the lowest point value for earning rules, and the opposite for redeeming rules.
Perks displayed in emails follow the business specified ordering, with a couple caveats:
Let’s say you want to highlight a few key rewards. Also, you’re not picky about the order of the others. It’s best to specify the order of the most important perks and leave the rest unassigned.
Now, if your business cares about the order of most rewards, then we recommend giving all perks an order.

Adding and removing ordered perks is like playing with a deck of cards- you can do whatever you want as long as it still makes a (happy) house. For example, a business has numbered their perks 1-7 and wants to insert a new perk with the display order "4." They would need to change the present "4" into "5" and so on down the line to get the intended lineup. If the same business wanted to add two new perks at the top instead, it could assign them with 0 and -1 display orders. Now -1 is the lowest number, so it will display first and 0 second. it's possible to use negative numbers or zero instead of reordering perks again.
We designed perk ordering to lean permissive so that businesses have flexibility. You can always click the 'Preview' button at the top left of the rewards settings page to double-check that perks display as intended.
